Soludo’s wife announces free computer training for youths in Anambra

The Anambra State First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, has announced a free one-month computer training programme for secondary school students and young people across the state.

The training, organised through her non-governmental organisation, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, is aimed at equipping participants with basic digital skills to improve their educational, employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, the programme is scheduled to commence on Monday, August 24, 2026, and will hold three times a week at the Healthy Living Complex, No. 6, Road 13, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.

The statement said the training would focus on foundational computer skills and was open to secondary school students and young people seeking to improve their digital knowledge and confidence.

It read, “Anambra First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, through her non-governmental movement, ‘Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative’, has announced a free one-month computer training programme designed to equip secondary school students and young people with essential digital skills.

“The programme is part of the Initiative’s commitment to empowering young people with practical skills that can improve their opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.

“The free training is open to secondary school students and young people who want to develop their foundational computer skills and gain the confidence needed to participate more effectively in today’s digital economy.

“The initiative observed that access to digital skills is increasingly important for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development, making it necessary to expose young people to basic computer knowledge early.

“Participants are expected to undergo the training for one month, with classes held three times every week. Interested students and young people can register through the programme’s online registration portal.”

The initiative said the programme was part of efforts to expose young people to practical digital knowledge and prepare them for opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
