…Vows to Strengthen APC
Dr Kojo Sam, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Bayelsa State, has pledged to mobilise support across Bayelsa East Senatorial District for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Sam made the commitment on Saturday when the Bayelsa State APC Chairman, Hon Warman Weri Ogoriba, and members of the State Working Committee paid a consultative visit to his country home in Okpoama, Brass Local Government Area.
The businessman and philanthropist reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu and the APC, saying he would work to ensure the party records a decisive victory in Bayelsa East.
He said his commitment to the APC dated back to the party’s formation in 2013 and was rooted in its ideals and ideological direction, which, according to him, seek to improve the lives of Nigerians.
Sam commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms, arguing that they were already producing positive results and contributing to greater stability in the country’s macroeconomic indices.
He also dismissed attempts by opposition parties to make inroads into Bayelsa East, particularly Nembe and Brass, insisting that the people of the area were firmly behind the President’s re-election.
The APC chieftain further commended Governor Douye Diri for his leadership and peaceful disposition, which he said had strengthened the party’s grassroots presence.
He also praised Ogoriba for what he described as transparent and inclusive leadership, saying it had given party members a sense of belonging.
“Today, I have the privilege of hosting the APC Bayelsa State Executive Committee at my country home in Okpoama, Brass. We had a very productive and frank discussion on the future of the party in Bayelsa, strengthening our structures and promoting unity.
“I commend the leadership of Governor Douye Diri and the party chairman for the inclusive leadership which has strengthened the party. I want to assure the party that in 2027, President Bola Tinubu will coast to victory in Bayelsa East,” he said.
In his remarks, Ogoriba described Sam as a critical stakeholder whose support had contributed to the APC’s victories in the state.
He said the visit was to appreciate Sam for his steadfast contributions, commitment and sacrifices towards the advancement of the party and its electoral fortunes.
Ogoriba expressed confidence in Sam’s ability to galvanise support across Bayelsa East for President Tinubu’s re-election.
He added that the visit provided an opportunity for the party leadership to deliberate with Sam on strengthening grassroots structures and fostering greater unity among stakeholders.
