The inauguration ceremony, scheduled to hold at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, will formally mark the beginning of another four-year tenure for Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye.
The event, themed “The Good Work Continues,” follows Oyebanji’s re-election and is expected to consolidate his administration’s development agenda.
The inauguration also marks a significant milestone in Ekiti State’s political history, as Oyebanji becomes the first governor to win re-election and succeed himself since the state was created in 1996.
Historically, successive administrations in the state have struggled to secure consecutive terms, with political parties frequently alternating control of the government.
Shettima is accompanied to the ceremony by the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Sule Garo; Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia; Senator Muntari Dandutse; Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake; and Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President, Dr Aliyu Modibbo Umar, among other senior aides.
